Our story

In 2012 Clara opened a tiny room on Bedford Avenue with one second-hand piano and six students. Word spread, the room filled with guitars, violins and drum kits — and a community grew around it.

Today encore is home to six teachers and hundreds of students of every age. The piano is still here. So is the feeling that music should be joyful, personal and for everyone.
